John,

Today, we honor the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade . We honor the constitutional right for people to access safe, legal abortions and we are reminded of the importance of the fight to protect that.

Because John, the right to a safe, legal abortion is in jeopardy. We continue to see reproductive rights chipped away in states across the country — including Minnesota. Just halfway through last year, 2021 became the most detrimental year for abortion rights.

And then in December, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in an abortion rights case and they made it clear that precedent means nothing. Roe v. Wade is at stake.

This coalition understands the importance of this work. We will not be out-organized. We need to elect pro-choice women leaders to every level of office, so that the right to a safe, legal abortion is protected. Will you stand with us in this work today? [[link removed]]

Here is the reality: The majority of people want abortion to be legal. And Minnesota’s pro-choice women understand that access to safe, legal abortions is only the floor. This fight is so that we can keep fighting for a bigger, more equitable future. And we can’t lose focus.

The 2022 Midterm Election will determine reproductive rights and its far-reaching impacts in Minnesota for generations to come. That’s why we must keep organizing for pro-choice women, we must keep supporting pro-choice women — all to elect pro-choice women leaders, our best advocates, into office.

Women Winning has been laying the groundwork for 2022 for months. We’re ready to go. But we need you with us. So today, on this important anniversary, will you support Women Winning’s work to recruit, train, and elect pro-choice women? [[link removed]] Together, we can protect choice.

John, thank you. This coalition can change the face of power and build a more equitable, representative government.

In gratitude,
