Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight calls Ann Selzer “the best pollster in politics.” Why? She knows Iowa better than anyone, overseeing almost every one of the Des Moines Register’s Iowa polls since 1987 – and she has a track record of nearly always being right.

That’s why this is such incredible news for Democrats: Ann Selzer just told PBS that “there is something going on” in her latest poll and that she sees “weakness” for Iowa Republican Chuck Grassley in her new numbers!

Admiral Mike Franken is the Democrat running against Chuck Grassley to turn Iowa’s Senate seat blue, and if Mike wins, Democrats are virtually guaranteed to hold onto (or expand!) our Senate majority this year.
