John,
49 years ago, the Supreme Court ruled in the landmark case Roe v. Wade to protect an individual’s right to an abortion. But since then, states across the country have introduced legislation that would either restrict or ban that right altogether.
As the Supreme Court continues to debate the constitutionality of abortion today, it’s clear that we cannot depend on them to protect or uphold Roe v. Wade. That’s why we must turn to our Democratic leaders in Congress, including Congresswomen Kim Schrier (WA-08), Lauren Underwood (IL-06), Angie Craig (MN-02), and Jahana Hayes (CT-05).
With backgrounds working in healthcare and supporting healthcare accessibility and affordability in Congress, each of these women have taken a stand to support the right to choose.
Together last fall, they joined other Democratic colleagues in voting to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act – which, among other things, will guarantee abortion access.
Our Democratic House majority is working hard to ensure that anyone who needs an abortion can get one safely, but if Republicans had it their way, that wouldn’t be the case. We must maintain our majority to keep Kim, Lauren, Angie, and Jahana on the frontlines fighting for our right to choose.
On the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, will you split a donation of $25 or more between Hold the House and these four Congresswomen so we can keep our Democratic House majority and protect women’s health?
