12 years ago, the Supreme Court allowed unlimited dark money into our elections. We have to fight back to lift up the voices of everyday Americans.

Jennifer Wexton for Congress

John, today marks twelve years since the Supreme Court's ruling in FEC v. Citizens United -- a ruling which has irreparably harmed our democracy.

The court's decision allowed unlimited dark money into our elections, at the expense of the voices of everyday Americans. Special interests' influence in our political system is one of the greatest threats to our democracy, and I'm fighting to change that in Congress.

I've proudly voted for legislation to require super PACs and "dark money" groups to disclose their donors – which would add much-needed transparency to our electoral process. And I've made clear that it's time we eliminate the filibuster so that bills like this get signed into law.

If you believe in making our government more accountable to the people, I need you to stand with me. The special interests who stand to lose if we reverse Citizens United are going to spend heavily in 2022 to stop campaign finance reform advocates like me. Let's show them they can't buy this seat.

Please make a grassroots contribution to help me hold my seat and fight back against dark money attacks. Together, we are stronger than the special interests who stand in the way of progress.
