Arlingtonians and Friends,

A slight update on the water main break. First, the boil water advisory is continuing through the weekend as a precaution. Second, the advisory does not apply to all geographic parts of the County. Third, your water pressure should be back up to normalor close to normal. The boil water advisory for those areas affected is a precaution we should still take, but waterpressure is coming back.

Some have asked, so in the map through the link above, Gravity 1 and Gravity 2 are pressure zones in our water distribution and storage system in the County. If in Gravity 1 or 2 you are impacted. If not, click on the above link to confirm you are not.

Arlington actually has a lot of topography and elevation change from North to South, to keep the system at the right operating pressures with all this elevation change, we have to distribute the water and monitor the pressures in these zone

Please continue to know that we are working to fix the problem and our investment in the pipes before this will lead us to fix it sooner.

I will email you again when we have an update, which is likely to be Monday. Apologies again for the inconvenience and please be as patient as possible as we continue to work to fix this.
