January 21, 2022------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Issue 3 | |
My fellow Republicans,
We had a great week, starting with the MLK March. The Express-News even covered the march-not the one canceled by the city, but the one organized by our very own Precinct Chair, Otis Thompson.
Another story ran on News 4SA about the recent viral post from the Republican Party of Texas. They interviewed Executive Director Gary Teal and me.
Tuesday, Fox News 29 San Antonio ran a story about the Senate debate over the two so-called "voting rights" bills that included an interview with Teal as well.
Today, we met with the Bexar Elections Administrator and learned that new voter registration cards haven't been mailed and probably won't be mailed next week.
The next week will also be a great week. See the information we included below. And, if you know of something we need to include in the future, please email [email protected].
Thank you,
John Austin
Chairman
Republican Party of Bexar County

OVER 65?
NEED A MAIL-IN BALLOT?
YOU MUST READ THIS
When any government makes a change, there is often good news and bad news.
That adage applies to the new Texas Election Integrity law which went into effect on December 2, 2021* which has added several complications to the mail ballot application process this year.
First, the good news, the tag line for this law was: “easy to vote and hard to cheat.” In order to get to the “hard to cheat” part, there are some challenges along the way.
The first is to ensure that all registered voters have two documents on file at their county elections office: either their state-issued driver’s license number or personal ID number AND the last four digits of their social security number.
