John,
In these times when so much threatens to divide us, what unites us as Mainers is the joy we find in the natural beauty of our state – the coast, the North Woods, the Western Mountains, our beautiful rivers, lakes, state parks, and our own backyard.
Our love of Maine cuts across geography, income, and even political identity. It's what brings us together. And it's why we are so proud to call ourselves Mainers!
That's why we want you to share with us your #LoveMaine stories to help spread the love of Maine across our state.
Click here to share your #LoveMaine story about your favorite place or memory of the Maine outdoors, and we may share it with our members and social media, giving you full credit.
Do you forage for mushrooms behind your home? Do you have a picture of your favorite fall hiking spot? Or a special story from Popham, Reid, Old Orchard, or Sand Beach? We're looking to collect stories from across our great state and want to share them with other MCV members — and maybe even with lawmakers in Augusta next session to show how much our state's beauty means to all of us.
You don't have to write much -- just a short paragraph or a few sentences about how much you love Maine and what it means to you.
If you want to share your story on social media (especially with a photo!), please use the hashtag #LoveMaine and tag @maineconservation on Facebook, @maineconservation on Instagram or @MCVoters on Twitter.
We are so excited to read your stories about the Maine we all love. Click here to share your #LoveMaine story with us today.
All our best,
Greta & the MCV team
