Friend:
We keep saying it. When we all take
action, we have power. You might think “signing one petition is just
me!” but when tens of thousands of you do it – believe us,
corporations notice.
Consider Toyota last year. We
mobilized over 40,000 people – you reading this right now – and got
Toyota to stop funding the sedition members of Congress. They folded
because you made your voices heard loud and clear.
Then, when it came to light that
AT&T was propping up OAN through their DirecTV contract, we put
out the call again. You answered. 48,625 of you answered, to be exact.
Threatening to #HangUpOnATT unless they did the right thing. And you
increased the social media pressure, too.

You spoke. Guess what
happened?
DirecTV dumped
OAN (in a late Saturday night news dump, no less.)
The lesson here: when we all make our voices heard, we
win.
Even Fortune 500 companies are no
match for the power of our grassroots movement. No one is immune. It
may seem like old news to many of you, but it’s simple: Public
pressure works. You are the public. Waiting around for someone else to
take action gives these companies a free pass.
We’re going to spend this year
taking on all comers when it comes to the authoritarian mob we’re up
against. More corporations. Targeted races where we can tilt the scale
in favor of pro-democracy candidates. And fighting the disinformation
the OANs of the world so gleefully sow.
To those who think we couldn’t do
it: Ask OAN how they’re feeling right now. We think you know the
answer.
Thank you for keeping us in this
fight.
