Hi John, I wanted to reach out on the 12 year anniversary of Citizens United v. FEC, the disastrous Supreme Court ruling that opened up our elections to foreign actors, special interest groups, and mega-donors.
Since the 2010 ruling, we have watched nearly $1 billion worth of dark money flood our elections. Right here in our home state of Maine, experts are expecting a record-breaking $75 million in ad spending this cycle.
So John, on the 12th anniversary of the Citizens United decision, will you chip in just $12 or whatever you can afford for our grassroots, people-powered movement? With your help I can stay in Congress this November and continue fighting for Maine.

From day one in Congress, I have fought to get dark money out of politics and I don’t take money from corporate PACs. Our grassroots campaign is focused squarely on delivering for the people of Maine’s Second District.
Which is why I have to ask: John, can you send my campaign just $12 to keep our grassroots movement strong and help us compete with the buckets of dark money being poured into our district?

Respectfully,
Jared
