Don’t Miss Our Engage at the Bush Center Spring Programs

Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by NexPoint gathers thought leaders for panel discussions and keynote conversations. Get your spring program tickets before these events sell out!

    • Former Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will talk about The Future of Education at 6:30 p.m. CT on Jan. 26.
    • Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall, Big Thought CEO Byron Sanders, and Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative Director Cullum Clark will lead one of two panel discussions on The Continual Struggle: Reflections on the Civil Rights Movement at 6:30 p.m. CT on Feb. 15. The event will complement the Bush Center’s special exhibit, The Continual Struggle, which showcases the work of artist Brian Washington.
    • Karen Hughes, a longtime advisor to President Bush; Landon Parvin, speechwriter for several White House Correspondents’ Association dinners; and David Litt, a bestselling author and former Funny or Die producer, will host Liberty & Laughter: The Lighter Side of the White House at 6:30 p.m. CT on March 8.
    • The annual Laura Bush Book Club features acclaimed children’s book author Roda Ahmed at 3 p.m. CT on May 15.

David J. Kramer, a former Assistant Secretary of State in the George W. Bush Administration, joined the Bush Institute this week as Managing Director, Global Policy. A world-renowned expert on global issues, Kramer recently spoke to CBS 11 in Dallas about the situation unfolding along the Russian-Ukrainian border.
