I'm reaching out to you today regarding the Women's Protection Act, a bill I've proudly voted for, and a bill that we need to become law immediately.
Unfortunately, the far-right has politicized reproductive care, which has put the future of safe abortion access on the line.
Let's be clear: We cannot move backwards when it comes to women's autonomy over their own bodies.
The Women's Protection Act would protect the right to accessible and safe abortion care throughout the country from being meddled with by providers or governments. The bill would also give individuals the right to challenge any restrictions in court.
Gender equality is at stake, team, and this is a fight we cannot back down on. Please, add your name alongside mine and demand Congress pass the Women's Protection Act immediately.
Restricting reproductive health care is just not an option, and would impact some of our most vulnerable communities. Communities across the entire country already struggle with a lack of access to safe abortion care, menstrual health necessities, and other various health and safety protocols necessary for women of all backgrounds.
A strong democracy and free nation would not restrict women's autonomy or access to abortion care –
