I’m Michael Edwards, the campaign manager on the ground here in Iowa for Admiral Mike Franken’s campaign against Chuck Grassley. (I know… having two Michael’s can get confusing, so people just call me ‘Edwards’ around campaign HQ.)

Since the Admiral announced he was running against Chuck Grassley to turn Iowa blue, we’ve had an incredible outpouring of support from thousands of grassroots donors like you. Thank you.

But I just opened ActBlue to check on our January fundraising progress, and our donations have slowed way down:

If Admiral Mike Franken is going to defeat Chuck Grassley and turn Iowa blue, he’s counting on grassroots donors like you to fund this campaign. We’re not taking one dime from Corporate PACs.

But if this current trend continues, we are not going to hit our January goal and have what we need to fight back against McConnell’s Super PACs and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate.
