Climate change isn’t some abstract, far-off concept. It’s already here and we’re feeling the impact in Maryland:
“Deadly heat waves are a threat, and a reality. Can Baltimore make residents more resilient to rising temperatures?”
- The Baltimore Sun
“The ‘World’s Rarest Fish’ Could Only Be Found in Maryland. Now, It’s Probably Extinct.”
- Washingtonian
“As extreme weather risks rise, so do the costs of protecting Maryland’s power grid from storms like Ida”
- The Baltimore Sun

As extreme weather events like heatwaves and hurricanes become more frequent, it threatens our power grid and our health and safety. And as pollution worsens, it jeopardizes the future of our natural resources and local wildlife.
The consequences of not taking action to address the climate crisis will cost us far more than taking action now to combat the effects of climate change.
I’m fighting for bold climate action in Congress so we can protect our planet for future generations like my grandson Charlie.
But this is a fight that’s going to take all of us getting involved. Will you add your name to mine and show your support for taking action to combat climate change?
Your friend,
Dutch
