It's true: she's running!
LGBTQ VICTORY FUND ENDORSES MAURA HEALEY

John, exciting news from Massachusetts - Attorney General Maura Healey just announced she's running for Governor!

As Victory Fund's only Bostonian and long-time Maura Healey fangirl, I'm so excited to share that we're all in for Maura and we're one of her first national endorsements. Let Maura and our amazing candidates know you're with them by making a donation today!

AG Healey is a long-time legal powerhouse, consumer advocate and LGBTQ leader in the Bay State. At the start of her career, she tried domestic violence and assault cases. As the Chief of the Civil Rights Division of the Massachusetts Attorney Generals Office, she spearheaded the legal challenge to DOMA, ultimately winning against the law.

Maura stepped up to run for Attorney General, officially making history in 2014 as the first out LGBTQ attorney general elected in the U.S. She's been called "the toughest lawyer in Massachusetts" and "Trump's worst nightmare." And she earned the titles: as of 2020, Maura had participated in over 100 cases against the Trump administration. She led the charge to defeat Trump's Muslim ban and defeating cuts to food assistance programs, as well as prosecuting COVID-19 scammers.

This time around, Maura will be the first woman elected governor of Massachusetts and the first out lesbian elected governor in the U.S. (together with Tina Kotek in Oregon when she wins too!).

Her fearlessness and commitment – along with her public service experience – makes Maura the governor Massachusetts needs at this critical moment. Maura's ready to make LGBTQ history - and continue to make the lives of Massachusetts residents better. If you're ready to elect Maura and the rest of our amazing candidates, make a donation today!

Let's get to work,
