Hi John,
We're another year older and that much stronger. This week's our birthday, and while we're accepting gifts, we've also got a gift for you!
Check it out. (Spoiler alert: it's our 2022 strategic plan.)
Five years ago, on January 20th, 2017, Run for Something officially launched into the world as nothing more than an idea, a website, and a strategic plan.
Every year since, in the service of living our values of transparency and accountability, Run for Something puts out an updated plan laying out what we've done, what we learned, and what we're going to do next.
While we're excited to share those in just a moment, let's get into what we need to achieve all of our goals in 2022 -- $ 6.3 million.
That's a big jump from previous years, but this moment demands nothing less than everything we've got. The far-right has already been rallying their team and looking to rig the game.
The stakes are high, but we're ready to play.
Can you chip in
$5
or more to give us a head start as we sprint towards our goals?

Now here are our big goals for 2022:
- Our focus remains: local, local, local
- Election offices and school boards (the ones Bannon and his violent insurrectionist pals are targeting)
- Recruiting 115,000 or more people in our candidate pipeline (that's the road to flipping red states)
- Supporting the 700 diverse young progressives candidates we've endorsed so far in 2022 (and more coming soon!)
Our birthday isn't just about patting ourselves in the back and celebrating, and our data aren't just fancy metrics. Our birthday is 5 years of working to elect diverse young progressives. These metrics represent real diverse young progressives stepping up to run and win local races all over our country.
We've built this movement together, and that's why we can win.
John, this is just a plan without you. If getting as many diverse young progressives into office as possible this year is something you'd like to see, then please chip in
$5
or more today. Consider it a birthday gift!
Time to celebrate and win together!
