The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

I hope you all had a wonderful week. I spent my time working on issues that are impacting people across the country, but especially in the state of Arizona. Keep reading for highlights from this week, most prominently, my letter to the Department of Health and Human Services on their discriminatory guidance for COVID-19 medical treatments:

Biden's HHS Encouraging Discrimination

On Tuesday, I sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) demanding they rescind their guidance that makes race a factor in determining who should receive COVID-19 medical treatment. This is discrimination plain and simple. The Biden administration cannot use race and ethnicity as a factor in how COVID-19 treatments are distributed. Distributing treatments based on a person’s medical need—not the color of one’s skin—shouldn’t be a controversial opinion. But we’re living in Biden’s world; everything is focused on dividing us as a nation instead of uniting all Americans. Read my full letter below:

Defending the Right to Life

On Wednesday, I was honored to be given an A+ rating from national pro-life group, the Susan B. Anthony List, for my legislative record and my leadership in fighting to protect unborn children and their mothers. We should take every step possible to protect life. As an U.S. Representative, I will always advocate for laws that uphold the sanctity of life and support access to life-affirming medical care for women. This Congress, I reintroduced my resolution to recognize Pro-Women’s Healthcare Centers and the importance of access to comprehensive, high-quality medical care that emphasizes physical, mental, and spiritual wellness for women of all ages. As a husband, father of daughters, and a grandparent, I understand the necessity of a holistic approach to medicine and hope these resources are available to my family should they need them. Check out my resolution below:

I also re-introduced H.R. 380, the Abortion Is Not Health Care Act, to end the Internal Revenue Service’s treatment of out-of-pocket abortion costs as a medical expense, and H.R. 381, the Pregnant Women Health and Safety Act, which requires abortion providers to have admitting privileges to a local hospital and to adhere to basic safety standards. One Year Into the Biden Administration

On Wednesday, I released my 49th podcast episode of What’s the BIGGS Idea. In this episode, I spoke with Sara Carter, a national and international award-winning investigative reporter with Fox News, on the failures of Biden’s first year as president. From the border crisis, to COVID-19 mandates, to surging inflation, to the botched Afghanistan withdrawal (reminder: Americans are still stranded there), the first year of Biden’s presidency is surrounded by failure and laced with destructive policies. No wonder only 33% of Americans approve of Biden as president. Click below to hear my full conversation with Sara:

I also went on OANN to discuss how the American people are done with the Biden administration’s anti-America, pro-socialist agendas. Inflation hit a forty-year high, job reports are at a dismal low, and just recently, court documents revealed that over 2 million illegal aliens were encountered at our border in 2021. This is Biden’s America. Check out the interview below:

Biden's Attack on the GOP

During a rare press conference on Wednesday night, President Biden asked: “What are Republicans for?” The answer is simple: We are for freedom, for family, for security, and for prosperity. The real question is, what are Biden and the Democrats for? What have they done for everyday Americans that has made their lives better? Check out my full statement on Biden's attack on the Republican party below:
