John,
One year ago today, President Biden and Vice President Harris took their oaths of office, and America closed a dark chapter in our history.
Since then, Democrats at all levels of government have worked tirelessly to deliver on President Biden’s agenda.
Today, our team is celebrating all that we have accomplished in just one year of the Biden presidency.
Since the beginning of the Biden era, Democrats have created 6.4 million jobs, ensuring an unemployment rate of less than 4%. As the pandemic continues to introduce new challenges every day, we have hope knowing that 75% of the country has now been vaccinated against COVID-19. In Congress, Democrats passed the historic bipartisan infrastructure package and the American Rescue Plan, providing much needed investment in our communities and relief to working people across the country.
John, Democrats have accomplished an incredible amount in just one year of the Biden presidency. But there is much more work to be done.
We won’t sugarcoat it: the midterm elections this November will be incredibly competitive and if we want to pass historic legislation on voting rights, the Build Back Better agenda, and more, we don’t just need to hold onto our majority — we need to expand it.
Republicans blocked or voted against every step of the progress Democrats made in the first year. There’s no doubt that they will undo all of the progress we have made should they win the majority.
We’ve seen this happen before, John, and we’re determined to protect and expand our Democratic majority to keep working towards progress in America. If you’re with us, will you make a contribution to help us protect Democrats across the country today?
— Team Swalwell
