We just got word that one of our self-funding opponents injected another $500,000 of his own personal fortune into his campaign coffers. That's the second time he’s done so this election cycle, taking his total in self-financed contributions up to $1,000,0000.

It was around this time in the last election that this same opponent spent hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money on a barrage of misleading mailers attacking Mike. It's only a matter of time until similar attacks ramp up once again.

CA-49 is quickly becoming ground zero in the GOP's effort to retake the House. Four Republicans have already announced campaigns against us, and we expect the Republicans' dark money-funded super PACs to flood the airwaves with attacks.
