John – Beto O'Rourke is taking on far-right Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, one of the most extreme and dangerous GOP governors in the country. If you care about flipping Texas blue, keep reading for the latest data on where things stand:

* In 2018, Beto fell just 215,000 votes short of defeating Ted Cruz. With 8.3 MILLION people voting that year, Beto came closer to flipping this state blue than any other Democrat in the past 40 years.
* Beto increased turnout by a massive 18 percentage points in 2018 compared to the previous midterm election.
* Even though Beto came up just short, his powerful campaign at the top of the ballot helped Texas Democrats gain two seats in the U.S. House, two seats in the state Senate, and 12 seats in the state House!

Now, Beto is running in Texas again – this time against Greg Abbott, who signed a series of egregious bills into law last year, including his “Jim Crow 2.0” voter suppression bill and the most extreme abortion ban in the country. Democrats must flip this state blue to stop his extremist agenda, and Beto is giving us our best chance in decades to do so!

But Beto – and all of our Democratic candidates – are counting on your help to defeat far-right governors and expand our blue firewall. That's why we've launched a goal to raise $25,000 before 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT to elect Democratic governors across the country and defeat extremists like Abbott.

Please, will you rush a $1 donation right now to help us hit this critical $25,000 goal? Every dollar helps us elect Democrats like Beto, expand our blue firewall, and defeat far-right governors across the country!
