John, earlier we
told you the news about the FBI raiding Rep. Henry Cuellar’s house AND
campaign office, and hauling out boxes of evidence.

Now, CNN is reporting that the Department of Justice is involved —
specifically, the DOJ’s Public Integrity Unit, which oversees the
investigation and prosecution of crimes like bribery of public officials
and election crimes.

We still don’t know much about the investigation, but we know it’s
serious. And we know this could be a turning point in Jessica Cisneros’
campaign to defeat the corporate-backed incumbent. Cuellar has millions in
corporate PAC money, and this is an absolutely critical moment when we
need to flood Jessica’s campaign with grassroots donations.

Local reporters in Texas just broke the news that FBI agents raided Rep.
Henry Cuellar’s house and campaign office, collecting and carrying out
evidence.

don’t know much about the FBI raid yet. But it can’t be good news for
Henry Cuellar’s campaign.

Two days ago, things were looking very good for Cuellar’s reelection. He
reported having $2.3 million in corporate-backed campaign cash — far more
than Jessica Cisneros, who isn’t taking a dime of corporate PAC money.

Honestly, we were worried that we might get outspent badly and lose this
race.

Now, the race is blown wide open. With this news on the FBI raid, we have
an opportunity to get voters to reconsider Cuellar before they start
casting ballots in just four weeks.

There is a very good chance that Jessica Cisneros can win this race if we
see a huge surge in fundraising for her campaign right now.
