Biden Ruin The Oil and Gas Industry [[link removed]]

The oil and gas industry is a cornerstone of the Texas economy. This year I championed and helped write Senate Bill 13, the Oil and Gas Investment Protection Act. I worked diligently to ensure this bill made it across the finish line and became law. Under Senate Bill 13, Texas will not do business with investment companies who boycott Texas oil and gas. If Wall Street turns their back on Texas' thriving oil and gas industry, then Texas will not do business with Wall Street.

The past 100 years of the Texas economic miracle is built upon energy - specifically the oil and gas industry. Where would Texas be today without the tireless pioneers? And we have a bright future as the world's energy leader, but we can't take our status for granted. While Texas is the fifth-largest generator of wind in the world, and also has a supply of solar, we know for certain that renewables are not reliable. We must stand behind our oil and gas industry because they keep the lights on.

As Lt. Governor, my goal is to make sure that Texas remains a leader for oil and gas production and the world's energy needs. Texans understand the importance of the energy industry, and under President Trump, Texas led the way to American energy independence.

Now, under the incompetent Biden Administration, the president is joining with leftists and coastal elites who are turning their backs on the Texas oil and gas industry. Our status of producing affordable, dependable energy doesn't fit their socialist "Green New Deal" narrative. They want to eliminate millions of jobs here and intentionally hurt our state all in the name of eliminating fossil fuels.

As Lt. Governor of Texas, I can confidently say, "Not on my watch."

Last week, BlackRock, a large investment corporation based in New York, capitulated to Biden and his left-coast elites. BlackRock announced it would abandon the flourishing Texas oil and gas industry because it does not conform with their "net-zero" vision.

Yesterday, I sent a letter to Comptroller Glenn Hegar asking him to place BlackRock at the top of the list of companies that boycott the Texas Oil and Gas Industry. You can read my official letter here [[link removed]].

Texas must not do business with BlackRock or any other company that decides to turn their back on us. Texans will not allow the woke left to destroy millions of jobs and hurt the Texas economy.

I look forward to passing more legislation to support the tireless Texans who fuel our state and our country.

In Texas, we are turning conservative policy into conservative legislation. The Democrats are trying to defeat me at the ballot box because of this, and they will stop at nothing to defeat me in 2022. Can I count on your support of $5-$10-$25 or more to help me keep fighting? [[link removed]]

Your support will help our campaign champion conservative ideas across Texas. Because when conservatives win, Texas wins. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,
