Today marks one year since President Biden was sworn in, so let's look back at all we’ve accomplished since then and the work that lies ahead.

Once Democrats secured the Senate majority with the help of two historic wins in Georgia, we got straight to work passing the American Rescue Plan to jump-start recovery for our communities and our economy in response to the pandemic.

This included my expanded Child Tax Credit, a tax break for working families, which kept 4 million kids out of poverty last year.

We sent a new round of stimulus checks to millions of Americans, lowered health insurance premiums, and set aside billions to safely re-open schools.

We passed the historic bipartisan infrastructure bill later in the year and invested in repairing and upgrading roads, bridges, airports, public transit, expanded access to clean water, and more. And we’ll create good-paying jobs to carry all of this out.

The bill also included my high-speed internet provision which will be the single largest federal investment in broadband in American history, expanding access to tens of thousands of Coloradans who currently lack it.

We focused on people-first policies that got our economy back on track and put people back to work. Now, we’re fighting to extend monthly Child Tax Credit payments and invest even more in American families.
