Alexandria just made her
first endorsement of the 2022 cycle.

Today, she endorsed Jessica Cisneros running in TX-28! Jessica is a
progressive fighter for working families running on a platform of passing
a Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and advancing reproductive justice in
a state that has just dealt a major blow to abortion access.

She’s running against Henry Cuellar, the last anti-choice “Democrat” in
the House who, before being challenged by Jessica in 2020, had a 70
percent voting record of siding with Donald Trump.

Last cycle, Jessica was massively outspent, but only lost by about 2,700
votes — a gap that can easily be closed with your support. We have a real
opportunity to expand progressive leadership in Congress by electing
Jessica this year. But it’ll only happen if we can get a huge surge of
grassroots contributions now.

Just last night, Henry Cuellar’s home and campaign office were raided by
the FBI. CNN reports that the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity
unit is involved with the investigation — a unit that handles cases
involving elected officials including campaign finance and corruption
cases.

We don’t know what this investigation may mean for this race, but we do
know that Cuellar’s campaign still has $2.3 million in the bank. If we
can’t close the gap, Jessica could be outspent dramatically.

So it’s up to us to ensure Jessica gets the surge of grassroots donations
she needs today to win the primary election coming up on March 1.
