[link removed] [[link removed]]I'm Marty, Dave's Campaign Manager. I want to tell you about why Dave is best-suited to bring experience and leadership back to Maryland's First District. But before I do I wanted to quickly ask if you can make a $10 donation to his campaign. [[link removed]]
Business people, community leaders, diplomats, and senior politicians around the globe have sought Dave’s economic development guidance for decades. A few days ago, the New York Times Editorial Board interviewed Dave about the banking collapse in Afghanistan, its humanitarian implications, and the national security consequences for America in its opinion Let Innocent Afghans Have Their Money.
Dave has steered economic policies for some of the most conflict-prone countries in the world, including Iraq, Libya, Yemen, and the West Bank and Gaza. He helped save lives, blunt the prospects of war, and averted famines.
Dave is home now and has turned his focus to America’s rural economies. In Maryland’s First District, four counties on the Eastern Shore lost population over the past decade. Declining populations mean fewer jobs, fewer services, less of a tax base, fewer opportunities - and more grievances.
In Maryland’s Rural Future, Dave sets out his vision to build a next generation economy on the Eastern Shore. Here is his plan.
Leverage public-private capital to jump start agricultural accelerators so farmers and watermen can sell value-added products to high-end buyers in the Mid-Atlantic.
Incubate climate technologies. Capital markets and technology have already determined that our economy will move to climate solutions. The only issue before Maryland is whether we will design, develop, build, and sell climate solutions – or buy from those who do.
Embrace Artificial Intelligence. Rural American manufacturers have an opportunity to gain global market share as low-skilled labor will no longer be the determinative cost for production.
Maryland’s First District deserves a leader in Congress who can drive results for the people of our communities. Join him in his campaign to build the next-generation economy, protect our democracy, and unleash America’s untapped talent. [[link removed]]
