Dear Friend, 

Race Forward and PolicyLink have been honored to work closely with the Biden Administration to inform President Joe Biden’s historic executive order making equity and racial justice “the responsibility of the whole of our government”. President Biden is the first American President to formally embrace racial equity, and while his administration has issued numerous executive orders and passed transformative recovery bills to invest in communities, families and workers, there is much work yet to be done to realize racial equity. 

As the administration continued to push for national voting rights legislation despite the Senate's refusal to move the bill forward, on February 3rd, the 152nd Anniversary of the passage of the 15th Amendment, Race Forward and PolicyLink will co-host a discussion with special guests Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley and Nse Ufot of the New Georgia Project to reflect on the past year and the work ahead. 

We’ll also be talking about our new report, “Advancing Racial Equity in Year 2 of The Biden Administration", a guide to build the knowledge, skills, and mindsets required to build a meaningful foundation for racial equity throughout the federal government as outlined in the Biden Administration’s 2021 executive actions.

The guide includes a list of actions that should be taken by the federal government to begin meeting their stated goals in areas such as:

• Racial Equity in Federal Government
• Gender and Sexual Orientation
• Equitable Pandemic Response
• Immigration
