John,

President Biden is at it again with more plans to allow drilling on public lands.

His administration released plans to allow drilling in about half of the 23 million-acre area on the Arctic coastline targeted by oil and gas corporations under Trump.

There’s no safe place for fracking on public lands.

The climate crisis demands that we move away from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy. But President Biden is on pace to approve more drilling on public lands than any president since George W. Bush. Clearly, we need to step up to demand real climate leadership from this administration.

Tell President Biden to take executive action to protect the planet from further climate disaster — and start by banning fracking on public lands.

Fracking is deadly. It’s an extreme and dangerous way of extracting oil and gas that causes water contamination, air pollution, earthquakes and massive amounts of methane leakage. There is no question fracking devastates lands, harms wildlife and hurts people and communities, but Big Oil & Gas has been allowed — and even encouraged by its political enablers — to continue to do just that.

The inherent dangers of fracking means that no set of regulations can ever make it safe for public health or the environment. It is outrageous and irresponsible to expand drilling and fracking on public lands. Every day that fracking continues is a day lost in the fight to stop climate change.

Send a message today: Urge President Biden to ban fracking on public lands to protect the climate and public health.

Public Lands Must be Fracking-Free!

Food & Water Watch has been leading the fight to ban fracking on public lands for years, including in cherished places like the Arctic and Chaco Canyon. We helped introduce the first bill to ban fracking on federal lands. And as we bring more and more people together to demand real action against fracking, we can protect our public lands from fossil fuel extraction. But it can only be done with your help, John.

President Biden promised to listen to the science on climate change and public health – not Big Oil and Gas. The science is overwhelmingly clear: Fossil fuel reliance is deadly to people and the climate.

Together, we can and must push for the climate future we all deserve, and protect families and communities from reckless, dangerous drilling.

Join me in urging President Biden to take the bold climate action we need to address the climate crisis. He can start by banning fracking on public lands.
