John —
Let’s be clear about what happened last night: with very little effort, Senate Republicans were able to block critical progress on voting rights legislation, putting their partisan ambitions above standing up for our democracy.
At a time when we’re seeing widespread voter suppression in states across the nation, Republicans including Pat Toomey voted down the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act — blocking legislation that would help protect Americans’ constitutional right to vote.
Enough is enough.
With so much on the line, this cannot be the end of the fight. We’re heading into a critical election, and we need to make sure every eligible American can vote without Republicans interfering.
We cannot take no for an answer. Will you add your name to demand the Senate pass federal voting rights legislation — and eliminate the filibuster to get it done?

Let’s make one thing clear: voting rights shouldn’t be a partisan issue. And we cannot allow disenfranchised Pennsylvanians and Americans to suffer at the hand of the filibuster any longer.
Yet while Republican-led legislatures are leading the most serious threat to our democracy in decades, the U.S. Senate sits in gridlock.
We elect Senators to deliver results for our communities — not actively block that progress from happening.
Val is committed to protecting and expanding access to the ballot. But we need the Senate to take action on voting rights now.
Every American — regardless of the zip code they live in — deserves to have their vote and their voice heard. We cannot take no for an answer. Sign on to demand the Senate take action and protect every American’s right to vote immediately.
