Friend,
Marijuana is one of the few issues that most Americans agree on – an overwhelming 91% of U.S. adults believe it should be legal for medical or adult use.
Yet prohibition continues to ruin lives and entire communities with hundreds of thousands of arrests for marijuana every year that unfairly target people who are Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and experiencing poverty.
Enough is enough. Tell Congress to catch up with us and end the federal war on marijuana now!

Our fight for marijuana justice is gaining traction. We made history just over a year ago when the U.S. House passed the MORE Act – the first time a chamber of Congress has ever approved a bill that would deschedule marijuana to end federal criminalization and repair the harms of prohibition.
Despite commitments from leaders that the House would pass the MORE Act again, it hasn’t moved to a floor vote yet.
Let’s force them to deliver on their promise of marijuana justice: urge your House Representative to support swift passage of the MORE Act.

The MORE Act has the comprehensive reforms we urgently need to end the federal war on marijuana, address decades of harm, and create a new equitable path forward with critical provisions that:
--Deschedule marijuana at the federal level by removing it from the Controlled Substances Act
--Reinvest marijuana tax revenue into communities negatively impacted by the drug war with grants for the development of employment programs, reentry guidance, youth resources, and more
--Provide expungement and resentencing opportunities for people with marijuana convictions
--Address lifelong consequences of marijuana arrests and convictions such as preventing federal agencies from denying public benefits and protecting immigrants from being denied citizenship
--Help ensure an equitable and diverse marketplace so that communities that have suffered under prohibition are able to fully participate in the industry
--Allow banking services for marijuana businesses with fair opportunities for small businesses in the most harmed communities
It’s beyond time for federal reform. With your help, we need to hold the House accountable and demand passage of MORE Act as soon as possible: [link removed]
