BREAKING NEWS:
Late last night, the Senate gathered to change filibuster rules in order to advance two critical voting rights bills, the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act – only to be yet again blocked by conservative Democratic Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).
Now, it is up to us to hold our leaders accountable to their constituents: it is literally their job. Can you chip in $3 today to help fund Women’s March's organizing work this election year and send a powerful message today to the Senate that Women’s Marchers are watching?
As we see coordinated efforts by conservative state legislatures to pass the most restrictive voting rights legislation in recent years, directly impacting women, people of color, and working-class folks, it is unconscionable that two politicians can hold back progressive voting rights legislation for their own personal gain.
A little over a year ago, our country was in direct danger of falling to white supremacist fascism under Donald Trump and his Republican enablers. We came together and fought back and were able to secure the Senate and House.
Now we are closer than ever to passing legislation that will move us one step closer to the feminist future we collectively envision – but we must activate and organize. Will you contribute to our organizing programs which train, mobilize and educate Women’s Marchers across the nation?
We can’t afford to go back now.
In solidarity,
Women’s March
