Today marks one year since President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris took the oath of office.

We’d like to congratulate the White House for a successful year of service to the American people throughout one of the most difficult times in our nation’s history.

The President and the Democratic congressional majorities wasted no time once in office. Just two months after being sworn in, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law.

The passage of this bill provided much needed economic relief for those suffering the most from the pandemic, including a child tax credit that lifted so many out of poverty.

Shortly after, by May 2021, the president’s team had also ensured that vaccines were widely available for the American people. As a result, 3 in 5 Americans are now fully vaccinated, with booster shots being administered daily to all that are eligible.

And by October 2021, thanks in part to President Biden’s economic policies, the unemployment rate had sunk to near pre-pandemic levels, and a record 5.6 million jobs had been created just in the first 10 months of Biden’s presidency.

But most importantly, President Biden proved that he could work across the aisle and signed into law the bipartisan infrastructure law, making one of the largest infrastructure investments in our country since the creation of our national highway system.
