Jeff Sessions is running for Senate in Alabama. That’s right -- the former Senator and President Trump’s disgraced former Attorney General who helmed such disastrous efforts as the Muslim travel ban and the inhumane immigration policy that separated thousands of migrant families.
Now, he’s going to do his best to make a comeback and defeat Democratic Senator Doug Jones in Alabama. Republicans know that Democrats need to win again in Alabama if we want to flip the Senate, which is why they’re ready to pull out all the stops to elect Jeff Sessions in 2020.
Winning this seat is incredibly important in our fight to elect a Democratic majority. If we don’t reelect Doug Jones in Alabama, our fight to take back the Senate will be much more difficult.
And if we come up short in Alabama, we’d be losing a champion for working families in the Senate and replacing him with an extreme conservative who will only serve the interests of Mitch McConnell and President Trump, not the people in Alabama and across this country.
