Millions of American families have been relying on monthly tax credits to afford nutritious food, quality child care and other necessities to help their kids thrive – but those benefits just expired. Tell Congress: kids and families need the extended Child Tax Credit in 2022!

I’m sure you’ve seen the news… COVID-19 cases are rising rapidly across the U.S. Many parents are still out of work, and more families are struggling to make ends meet.  

But they aren’t receiving increased support – they’re losing the relief that’s been helping them stay afloat.  

The extended Child Tax Credit expired just as the latest wave of the pandemic hit, ending critical benefits for the families of 61 million children. For the first time in months, these parents didn’t receive the monthly payment that allows them to afford child care, feed their kids nourishing meals and otherwise provide for their families. 

Send a message to Congress: we must extend the Child Tax Credit in 2022 to ensure children have the resources they need to thrive. 

John, bright futures start with support and stability in childhood. Nutritious meals help kids grow and develop properly. Affordable child care and early learning options ensure parents can go to work knowing their children are safe – and they also give kids an opportunity to get a head start in life.  

But the cost of raising children is notoriously high in the U.S. Millions of families have come to rely on the monthly Child Tax Credit benefit to afford the bare necessities. It has been a huge success, raising 3 million children out of poverty. Without it, these children’s futures could be at stake.  

Urge Congress to extend the Child Tax Credit in 2022 to help parents provide for their families!
