NEWS FROM THE 15th DISTRICT
Dear Friends,
The pandemic continues to affect our region enormously. I wanted to share with you some information about the recently announced series of initiatives by the Federal Government to address the testing backlog and proactively fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests Sent to Your Doorstep
Now, households can order up to 4 rapid antigen COVID-19 tests through covidtests.gov or through the USPS website at https://special.usps.com/testkits. Tests are expected to ship within 7-12 days and are available at no cost to you and your family.
Health Care Providers Will Now Pay for Tests
On January 15th, health plans began covering the cost and offering reimbursements of up to 8 at-home COVID-19 tests purchased through a pharmacy, store, or online retailer per month. Your insurer or plan will either cover the charge up-front or will reimburse after you make a claim—make sure to hold on to your receipt! For more information, please contact your health provider.
Keeping Our Kids in School Through Increased Testing
We can all agree, a student learns best when they’re in the classroom. The Biden Administration will be deploying 10 million tests nationwide, each month, to schools so our students can “test-to-stay" and continue their education in a classroom setting.

N95 Masks for The American People
The Biden Administration has recently announced that 400 million N95 masks will be available to Americans for free to pick up at tens of thousands of local pharmacies and community health centers throughout the country. The masks are expected to start shipping at the end of this week and will be available to the public late next week.
