[1]Tammy Duckworth

Despite the hard work that Tammy Duckworth and other Senate Democrats put into advancing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, this landmark voting rights package was just blocked in the Senate by Republicans–again.

If passed, these pieces of legislation would have made it easier for Americans across the country to cast their ballots by expanding early and absentee voting, streamlining the voter registration process, making Election Day a holiday and more.

But Republicans blocked these bills because they don't want to make it easier for people to vote — because they think that it’s easier for them to win elections when fewer people can participate in our democratic process.

If we are going to pass critical legislation like this, we need to protect and expand our Democratic majority in Congress. And that starts with re-electing leaders like Tammy Duckworth. So we have to ask:

Can you pitch in $5, or whatever you can afford, to Tammy Duckworth’s campaign today? Re-electing Tammy and building on our Senate majority will allow us to make progress on the issues we all care about.

Tammy and her Democratic colleagues will continue to push for progress on key issues like voting rights, but it will be a lot easier to get things done with a more decisive Senate majority.

That’s why it’s so important for us to re-elect Tammy AND flip more Senate seats from red to blue this November. So thank you in advance for what you are able to contribute.

All our best,

Team Duckworth
