This week is the twelve year anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling in Citizens United , which essentially decided that Big Money — including dark money — could shape our politics.

This ruling has allowed billionaires, corporations, and special interest spenders to pour millions into influencing our elections — making it harder and more expensive for grassroots campaigns to compete and reach voters.

Keeping our elections fair and free is essential to protecting American democracy. That starts with not only overturning Citizens United , but by building up our voting rights after GOP state legislators have introduced more than 400 voter suppression bills since 2020’s elections!
