I'm not going to sugarcoat this - the state Election Board just released new voter registration totals and the story isn't pretty. If we're going to have a shot this November and beyond, we HAVE to get serious about registering and turning out new Democrats.

So here's the plan.

We're implementing a highly robust statewide field campaign to register new Democrats. We're going to call, knock, and make smart investments in digital. And right now, we're raising money to mail voter registration forms to non-registered Oklahomans who we think are very likely to vote Democratic. While Republicans gained about 114,000 new voters, Democrats suffered a loss of 41,000 last year. It's up to us to change the story.

We WILL make up for lost ground and register 41,000 new Democrats. But we don't have any time to spare, John. We need to raise at least $17,000 specifically to mail new voters - and we need to do it as soon as possible so we can give our candidates the fighting edge they need to WIN.
