Our first big test of the 2022 cycle is just around the corner in Texas, John — here are some important upcoming dates to put it in perspective:
- 1/31: The deadline to register to vote in the Texas primary
- 2/14: Early voting begins
- 2/18: Last day to apply for a ballot by mail
- 2/25: Last day of early voting
- 3/1: PRIMARY ELECTION DAY
We’re backing Greg Casar in TX-35, Jessica Cisneros in TX-28, and Jasmine Crockett in TX-30 — three proven progressive leaders who are ready to fight for working people in Congress. Turning out voters in an early primary is never an easy task, but we’ve done it before, and we’re ready to do it again — because we need more leaders in the House who will fight for policies that put communities ahead of profits.
Can you contribute $5 or more toward our Working Families Majority Fund to help us get out the vote for Greg, Jessica, and Jasmine in the coming weeks? The road to expanding our progressive coalition in the House runs directly through Texas, and we can’t afford to fall short:

Right now, we’re seeing AND feeling the consequences of our slim majority in Congress, further complicated by corporate Democrats choosing to stand with their donors instead of the people. But we’re not throwing up our hands and giving up.
In Texas and all across the country, we’re backing viable progressive candidates running strong campaigns in purple districts, supporting progressive candidates in purple districts who are under threat, keeping corporate Democrats accountable for their votes by supporting compelling primary challengers, and defining the field in open-seat races.
Greg Casar, Jessica Cisneros, and our latest endorsed candidate Jasmine Crockett are those kinds of candidates, each running campaigns in unique districts that we can win. But we’re running out of time to reach voters, as the first mail-in ballots will start hitting mailboxes across Texas soon.
That’s why we’re asking for your help today: Can you make a contribution of $5 or more toward our Working Families Majority Fund to ensure we have the resources to turn out voters in this critical primary election?
In solidarity,
Mercedes Fulbright

P.S. It probably goes without saying, but I'm so excited about our House candidates in Texas! You can learn more about Greg here, Jessica here, and Jasmine here.
