STATE OF THE STATE ADDRESS |
Last week, Governor Kemp delivered his State of the State Address to the General Assembly, where he laid out his plan for building a safer, stronger Georgia. Thanks to Governor Kemp's leadership, Georgia's economy is breaking records with record low unemployment and unprecedented job announcements, and the state is set to make historic investments in education, health care, and public safety this year.
Governor Kemp will continue to fulfill his promises to the people of Georgia this session by championing Constitutional Carry, an income tax exemption for retired military, and finishing out the largest teacher pay raise in state history. And at a time where parents across the country are concerned about what their kids are learning in the classroom, Governor Kemp will fully support legislation that bans divisive ideologies like Critical Race Theory, creates a Parental Bill of Rights to give parents a final say in their child's education, and ensures fairness in school sports.
It's shaping up to be a historic legislative session! |
