Republicans will be forced to go on the record later today and cast their vote on the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Let’s be clear what their no vote means:

This vote is an admission that the Republican party needs voter suppression to win elections. Their election strategy is to keep Americans from voting and they’re perfectly fine making that known.

The fact that Republicans can lose the Senate and still block voting rights makes it even more clear that we must abolish the filibuster and elect a slate of new leaders who will fight for pro-democracy reforms.
