Good Afternoon Fellow Climate Activists,
Chicago is in the process of updating the cities Climate Action Plan. Last formulated in 2008, the city is seeking input through 2 Virtual Town Halls. ?You too can participate and add your voice to the conversation by attending one of the sessions.
The city is doing 2 virtual town halls for the Climate Action Plan on January 19th at 6:00 p.m. and January 22nd at 10:00 a.m.
There will not be much information about the plan. Instead, the Town Halls are for receiving feedback from citizens. Both events will be the same so there is no need to attend both.
You can register to attend at the bottom right of
this page. At the registration page, you can also fill out a survey about "What Matters to You" and vote for various climate solutions at the "Funding Your Future" link on the city of Chicago website.
I have also attached the flyer for the events.
350 Chicago has been active in the Ready for 100 Collective over the last 4 plus years, advocating for ideas to decarbonize the city of Chicago. We will continue to participate and push the city to achieve the goal of being fossil free as soon as possible via ambitious solutions to the climate crisis. And we will be actively pressing the city to live up to its commitments in the Climate Action Plan.
Best regards,
Larry Coble
President, 350 Chicago Board of Directors
