The House primary elections of Jessica Cisneros (TX-28) and Greg Casar (TX-35) represent our movement's first opportunity in 2022 to build the Squad in Congress. We’ve been building momentum for months, but right now — with less than a month before in-person early voting starts — this moment is critical for our movement.

These wins also help build true independent political power that can transform this country and the Democratic Party. This is a long-term political project that not only requires us to elect more working-class champions to Congress, but also to build on the ecosystem of support and progressive infrastructure that carries these local candidates and movements to victory.
