The Butter Solar Project - Developing Distributed Solar Generation on a Large Scale The Butter Solar Project: Developing Distributed Solar Generation on a Large Scale Thursday, November 21, 2019 - 12pm - 1pm Richard Heinemann - Boardman & Clark Eric Udelhofen - OneEnergy Renewables Stanley Minnick - Organic Valley Register The Butter Solar Project is a case study of a successful public-private partnership involving a renewable energy developer (OneEnergy Renewables); a municipal electric company as off-taker (the Upper Midwest Municipal Energy Group); and a project catalyst with an appetite for renewable energy credits and ambitious carbon reduction goals (Organic Valley). The result is a 22 MW solar energy project comprised of 10 separate solar installations interconnected behind the meter in municipal electric systems located throughout western Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. This webinar will describe all aspects of the deal with panelists from all parties involved. Stanley Minnick - Organic Valley As Energy Services & Technology Manager, Stanley is responsible for identifying, facilitating and tracking renewable energy and efficiency projects on Organic Valley owned facilities. He also provides technical expertise and process improvement implementations for the farm focused sustainability team. Additionally Stanley represents the coop at speaking engagements and other outreach efforts throughout the year, sharing what has been learned along the way while fostering long term and meaningful partnerships. Stanley serves as the vice president on the volunteer board for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association. Eric Udelhofen OneEnergy Renewables Eric works on OneEnergy’s project development team to shepherd projects from inception through construction. Eric manages prospecting and site identification, landowner outreach, permitting and interconnection processes, and customer outreach for community and utility-scale solar projects across the Midwest. He has been in this role since 2015.
