Jack, the American people don't care about archaic Senate rules. We care about our rights. We care about our freedom to vote.
Rules like the filibuster, which created a 60-vote threshold for most bills to proceed through the Senate, were never intended by the Founding Fathers. Quite the opposite, many of them believed in majority rules as described in The Federalist Papers. Putting such rules ahead of the American people is not only a disservice but a betrayal to the voters who put those leaders in office.

In 2021, Republican-controlled state legislatures introduced hundreds of restrictive voting bills—all funded by dark money actors desperate to stay in power in the face of a diversifying electorate. Yet, corporate Democrats like Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema continue to put Senate procedure above our hard-fought and hard-earned freedom to vote.
Sen. Sinema recently delivered a misguided speech in which she did exactly that. She put rules above actual living and breathing human beings while ignoring the GOP's onslaught of restrictive voting bills. People like you and I are the ones who will pay for the consequences of her apathy.
That is why we must continue pressuring Senate members to change the rules and create a carve-out for the filibuster in much the same way they created one for the debt ceiling late last year.
