John,
The right to vote is one of our most sacred and fundamental rights as Americans – but right now, it's under attack by Republicans in state legislatures across the country.
Since the 2020 election, Republicans around the country – including Kim's opponents in WA-08 – have amplified Donald Trump's baseless claims of massive voter fraud. Last year alone, over 440 bills restricting voting rights were introduced across the country, and 19 states enacted 34 laws restricting the right to vote. These restrictions include decreased polling locations, restrictions on when and how people can vote, and more.
With the midterms approaching this November, Republicans have made it clear they're not slowing down their attacks on voting rights or dropping Donald Trump's "Big Lie."
Kim knows these efforts to suppress voting rights and undermine election results are nothing less than a threat to our democracy. That's why she's helped pass legislation to protect the right to vote in the House.
Last year, Kim helped pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House to restore key provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. And just last week, she joined other Democrats in the House to help pass a set of voting rights bills to ensure equal access to the ballot box for all Americans. Now, we need the Senate to act on this crucial legislation.
If you agree the Senate needs to take action and protect the right to vote for all Americans, add your name today →
