Starting TODAY, you can go to COVIDtests.gov to request delivery of free rapid COVID-19 tests to your home. Tests are limited to 4 per household and will typically ship within 7 to 12 days of being ordered.

Part of the Biden administration's plan to purchase and distribute 1 billion rapid tests over the coming months, the tests are completely free--there are no shipping costs and you do not need to enter a credit card number.

While it is not yet up and running, the government will also launch a phone line, through which people who do not have access to the website can order the tests.

Testing is only one critical step you can take to protect yourself and others. Everyone is encouraged to:

- Get up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations; Visit vaccines.gov
  to locate a vaccine or booster near you.
- Wear a well-fitted mask, such as a KN95 or N95, when gathering indoors.
- Maintain 6 feet of distance between people.
