I'm Daniel Mulieri, one of the officers of the Broward Democratic Party, and I wanted to follow up with you about an email you recently received from Rick Hoye, our party chairman.
Keeping the Broward Democratic Party up and running costs money, but we run a really lean organization. How lean? If every registered Democrat in Broward County gave us 10 cents, one dime, it would be enough to keep our offices open, our systems working and provide us the materials we need to function. If each registered Democrat in Broward gave us 20 cents, we would have enough for a full time staff person and all of the campaign materials we need for the cycle.
But it's not practical to ask every Democrat for a dime or two. If they all paid via credit card, the charges alone would bankrupt us.
Instead, we are asking the TOP 1% of Democrats in the county to make a one time, $22 dollar contribution to the contributions from 110 Democrats.
Your name has been identified as one of the TOP 1%, the people who make up the “Heart and Soul” of our party.
