Hi team,

I recently came across this tweet from Senator Warren regarding the filibuster. Check it out below:

"Every senator swore an oath to defend the Constitution—not to protect a procedural rule like the filibuster, which has been a tool of racial segregation and Jim Crow.

When the Senate rules block voting rights legislation, then those Senate rules must change."

I agree with Senator Warren.

There have been more than 161 changes made to the filibuster in the last five decades, with the filibuster altered to pass trade deals, tax cuts, and Supreme Court justices.

The ability to freely participate in our elections is just as important to the well-being of our democracy as is ensuring a functioning Supreme Court, and as a country, we need to come together and do what is right for American democracy.

As I continue to use my voice to defend our constitutional right to vote, I intend to use it to call upon my Republican colleagues to stand on the right side of history. I hope you will consider contributing to my campaign and support my efforts in protecting the ballot box. [[link removed]]
