John —

The work to defend our voting rights from extremism isn't in the distant future. It's happening right now.

FIRST: Galvanized by Donald Trump's "Big Lie," GOP state politicians in at least 19 states passed 34 laws restricting access to voting in 2021.

THEN: Dwight and House Democrats immediately got to work defending our civil rights from these state-led attacks. Dwight helped pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore key provisions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. He proudly supported the Protecting Our Democracy Act, the For the People Act, and other civil rights legislation to put our nation back on a path toward racial equity in voting.

NOW: The Senate started debating the Freedom to Vote Act and John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act yesterday. John, the right to vote, the assurance that every vote gets counted, the future of our nation, and the fabric of our democracy — all hang in the balance.

We won't be silent. That's why today, we need you to help us make some noise. Take action with Dwight now by demanding the Senate restore and expand voting rights for all Americans, especially Black and brown voters. Sign the petition to make your voice heard.
