Hey John — yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a day set aside for Americans everywhere to reflect on the legacy of one of the most important civil rights leaders in our nation’s history.

Unfortunately, it’s also a day on which Republicans’ hypocrisy and cynicism were on full display, even more so than usual.

Eddie’s anti-democratic, insurrection-supporting opponent Scott Franklin, who posted a “tribute” to Dr. King just a few days after voting NO on legislation to protect voting rights, is a prime example. Help us kick him out of Congress with a donation today.

Republican politicians like Franklin cannot claim to honor the legacy of Dr. King while voting against critical voting rights bills. Which Scott Franklin has done. Twice.

When Eddie is in Congress, he will fight for your right to vote. Full stop. Like a lot of people, we’re extremely ticked off at Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema for refusing to abolish the filibuster in order to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act. But we have to remember that Democrats were forced into that position by an anti-democratic GOP minority that won’t even consider negotiating on this legislation because they have no interest in protecting the right to vote.

Can you make a donation today to help us flip this soon to be +8 Biden district, kick an insurrectionist out of Congress, and protect the health of our democracy?
