Last night I went on Rachel Maddow to discuss the urgent need to protect our democracy and the right to vote.

With our democracy under attack, Congress has a constitutional and moral responsibility to act.

I'm fighting to ensure that all people are fully included in our society, our economy, and our democracy, but Mitch McConnell and his dark money allies are spending millions to unseat me and flip the Senate red.

If McConnell succeeds in flipping the Senate, far-right Republicans could strip away the right to vote, undermine our elections, and dismantle the fundamental framework of our country.

Will you chip in today to help win here in New Hampshire, defend our Senate majority, and protect our fragile democracy? [[link removed]]

Thank you in advance.

With every good wish,

I just got off the air with Rachel Maddow, folks, and I need you to hear this message:

Our democracy depends on the existence of a free and fair casting and tallying of the votes. Yet, across the country, we are seeing extreme politicians attempt to throw out the votes and silence the voices of those with whom they disagree.

Without free and fair elections, the United States of America as we know it would not exist.

Congress has a responsibility to act now to ensure that the right of every American to vote is never taken away. But a set of arcane Senate rules are being used as an excuse not to move forward.

That's why I am calling for my colleagues to change the rules to allow for a simple majority vote on legislation related to fundamental issues of our democracy.

With the future of our democracy at stake, we cannot afford to lose our Democratic majority in the Senate. But Republicans are doing everything they can to flip this seat and the Senate red.

I'm reaching out today because if we lose here in New Hampshire, we could lose our fragile Senate majority. I’m no stranger to tough fights, but the GOP has deep pockets – far-right donors and dark money super PACs have spent more money attacking me than any other Senate Democrat.

With all eyes on New Hampshire, my team is setting an emergency goal of $10,000 to protect this seat and our democracy. Can I count on you to chip in $5 or whatever you can before midnight tonight? [[link removed]]
